I am a third-year Speech and Hearing Student at the University of Iowa. I joined the Speech Sensorimotor Development Lab in hopes of gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge about pediatric speech development. In the future, I plan on going to grad school to pursue my dream of becoming a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in either a school or clinical setting. I look forward to learning new skills and building connections in this lab!

I am a fourth-year student at the University of Iowa studying Speech and Hearing Science along with a minor in Psychology and Spanish. I became a part of the Speech Sensorimotor Development Lab to grow my experience in the field and further my understanding and passion for Speech Language Pathology. My goal with this lab is to get a more hands-on approach to experience work as an SLP, especially with children, and further my knowledge of phonetics. In the future, I hope to work as a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in a clinic!

Undergraduate Research Assistant
I am a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Speech and Hearing Science here at the University of Iowa, and I am getting a certificate in Disability Studies as well. In the future, I would like to attend a graduate program to become a Speech-Language Pathologist, and eventually work in a hospital setting primarily for pediatric communication therapy and cognitive-communication rehabilitation. I joined this lab, so that I can gain experience in the research side of Speech Pathology and learn more about the many facets of this field. My goal in this lab is to learn about the development of articulation, phonology, and oral-motor control, while gaining skills hands on skills that could assist me in future practice.
