Undergraduate Research Assistant
I am a first-year undergraduate student at the University of Iowa studying Speech and Hearing Sciences. My goal is to attend a graduate program and become a Speech-Language Pathologist. I am super excited to join this lab as a way to really gain research experience and grow my passion for Speech Pathology even more. My goal with joining the Speech Sensorimotor Developmental Lab is to gain new knowledge about speech processing and the development in a pediatric setting, as well as to overall gain new skills and experiences. In the future, I hope to work as a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist in a clinical setting treating children with both speech and language disorders and maybe one day open my own practice!

Graduate Research Assistant
I am a first-year graduate student in Computer Science at the University of Iowa, I am enthusiastic about contributing to this lab with a technical focus. My primary role will involve image analysis, specifically tracking tongue movements and analyzing the resulting data. I will focus on deriving and interpreting key metrics from this data, such as calculating movement speed and range to deliver meaningful insights. In the future, I aim to build a career as a machine learning engineer, where I can create models with impactful, real-world applications.
